Local Children’s Author Overcomes 2024 Brain Injury to Release Inspiring Second Novel

Hello Friends! I am celebrating the upcoming release of my highly anticipated second novel, Firefly Fred & The Rainbow Rescue. The book launches officially on October 13, 2026, following a remarkable journey after surviving a sudden traumatic brain injury in January 2024.

While a brain injury is life-altering, the path to this milestone was not a grueling trial, but rather a beautiful season filled with deep love, support, and God’s abundant grace. I am confident that the book’s completion is a true testament to that divine care.

I am incredibly grateful that God has allowed me to continue writing for His glory. This book reminds us that no matter how dim our light feels, God can use us to do big things.

Exclusive Pre-Release Events

About the Book
Firefly Fred & The Rainbow Rescue takes readers of all ages to the dazzling town of Nantyglo, right outside the Royal Forest. Main character Firefly Fred is getting ready to graduate from the Nantyglo Bible School. He is joined by his best friend, Lilly the Caterpillar, and seasoned expert, Professor Andy.

The fun stops when a tiny villain named Mighty Midge plans to steal the brilliant colors of God’s rainbow and keep its blazing power for herself. If she succeeds, the forest’s light will fade forever. To save the day, Fred and his friends team up with the “God Squad,” an elite team of tiny heroes.

Together, they must race through dangerous storms, glowing caves, and a misty maze. Fred faces an extra challenge when his own firefly light starts blinking. He must learn to trust God and his friends to complete the mission. The story is a whimsical tale about teamwork, courage, and shining your God-given light when the world needs it most.
